Ganeshji and Laxmiji in Aragonite (SF-12758)

An incredibly special piece for Ma Passion, this carving depicting Laxmiji and Ganeshji is the only creation in Aragonite that remains in our collection. The rough stone of Aragonite – mined only in Argentina – is no longer available in any wholesale market, making it impossible to procure. The carving is made by one of our oldest artists who has been trained in the ancient art of ivory carving and so, the figures of the two Gods are made in a traditional South Indian form. Painstakingly hollowed out, this creation characterized by its exquisite hues of orange and white, is the epitome of ancient aristocratic Indian art.

Care for product
Gemstones are known to withstand the harshest of environments. In order to further ensure that every generation experiences the true luster of your Ma Passion creation, we recommend our connoisseurs to carefully clean the carving with a wet cotton ball once a year. In order to further bring out the polish, one can dip some cotton in a thin oil, run it through the carving, leave the oil overnight, and then proceed to remove the remaining oil with a wet cotton on the next day. This process can also be done annually.
