Ram Darbar in Tourmaline (SF-1651)

From Brazil comes this ethereal wine-coloured tourmaline that is of gem quality. This size of tourmalines is extremely rare to find and if found, the pieces are usually broken down to make jewellery. We decided to hand this singular piece to our oldest kaarigar and asked him to envision a divine subject; one that would do justice to the stone. Using the entire piece, he delicately carved a complete Ram Darbar with Lord Ram along with his wife Sita, brother Laxman, and his devotee Lord Hanuman. The jaali work at the back can only be achieved by a master craftsman who has honed his art through his lifetime. This combination of an extraordinary stone and immaculate craftsmanship has resulted in the creation of a translucent wonder that is an absolute collector’ delight.

Care for product
Gemstones are known to withstand the harshest of environments. In order to further ensure that every generation experiences the true luster of your Ma Passion creation, we recommend our connoisseurs to carefully clean the carving with a wet cotton ball once a year. In order to further bring out the polish, one can dip some cotton in a thin oil, run it through the carving, leave the oil overnight, and then proceed to remove the remaining oil with a wet cotton on the next day. This process can also be done annually.
